Some artists think they are too good to be too bad…

Recently I had a talk with some artists, or at least so called artists, who were talking about were their art came from. One so called artists claimed that they were born great, and that technique is not important in art. Anyone who thinks that technique is not important or that all artists either have it at birth or don’t. He used examples of Picasso, Mozart and Tiger Woods as his examples, but each of these artists (Tiger is not an artist, but for the point of making my point) all of these artists were trained by their fathers. They did not just pick up a brush, or start making music. While there is a thing as natural talent (I am proof of that), there is some learning involved. Artists develop their technique through the process of watching, learning, and practice. True artists realize that not everything they do is art, and not everything they do is great, and are humble, not bragging about how great they are. Those that do are not true artists, but praise seekers…
